info

It happened to me that I met the Varied Triller twice for a moment as it can be seen in my non-full-size gallery. When I saw it for the first time I thought that it was my first representative of Piciformes (woodpeckers) in Australia. OK, for the woodpecker it might have too little beak, but otherwise its shape, coloration - exactly as it should be. Nothing could be further from the truth - in Australia there are no woodpeckers! Throughout such a large territory, with such diversity and multiplicity of bird species, woodpeckers do not occur.
