Birds > Passerine > Yellow-faced honeyeater Lichenostomus chrysops

info

I came across The Yellow-faced Honeyeater a few times. It had a meal on inflorescence keeping a safe distance. As it befits  the Honeyeater, not only nectar is its food. It feeds among the leaves and inflorescences on trees and shrubs. The vast majority of the menu are insects and nectar just complements its diet. Yellow-faced honeyeaters build nests in the bushes, quite low, close to the ground.
