Last minute-11/12-2022-Botswana

Next to gallery of giraffes, I would like to post information about large mammals, those typical of Africa, that we met in Botswana. If anyone would like to admire the characteristic mammals of Africa, I think Botswana is a good place to do it. Once, while observing giraffes, I counted 15 individuals within sight of them. Over the course of two weeks I would probably count hundreds of hippos. Buffalo showed up from time to time, but they were not as numerous as in Tanzania. Same with herds of wildebeest. Of the "big five" we saw all the animals, except the rhino, which is already very rare throughout Africa. This big five is a rather strange classification of these animals into this group. Not among them is the mighty, dangerous hippopotamus, which is more aggressive and dangerous than, for example, African buffaloes. The mighty, majestic giraffe, so characteristic of Africa, is not included in the "big five" either. Observation of giraffes, like elephants is always impressive, well, and almost always you could count on an encounter with Oxpecker, which sometimes several individuals stayed on one giraffe.
