Many years ago I took a few documentary pictures of the grass snake. Based on them, I created a gallery, although considering my today’s approach to photography, I wouldn’t do that now. But I have had an opportunity to photograph beautiful, large grass snakes and take some good pictures of them at last. I managed to take photos of the common grey grass snake as well as a few pictures of the much rarer black grass snake. Although the dominating subject of my photos are birds, such a transformation of the so far documentary gallery into a very good gallery calls for a notice in the news. The grass snake in its rebuilt gallery gets into the news section.
