In Poland, it is very difficult to photograph, not only because of its occurrence (small areas in the vicinity of Białowieża, Augustów, Gdańsk and in the Lower Silesian Forests), but also due to their small numbers (less than 1000 couples in our country). However, the biggest problem is that this owl is active at night. It will be hard to make changes in this gallery, though the nature could already surprise occasionally and I managed to take unexpectedly interesting pictures of rare birds. Who knows what will be the fate of the boreal owl’s gallery?
