info
The Black-billed Gull is common in New Zealand. Sometimes I could take photos from the distance of less than 1-1.5 meters using 50 millimeter lens. It can be only compared to our Black-headed Gull that are abundant at Polish seaside. The Black-billed Gull is smaller a bit, its weight does not exceed 270 grams and a wingspan of 90 centimeters. This Gull is known to be endemic to New Zealand. It preyed on the seashore among oystercatchers and white-fronted terns.
