Birds > Passerine > Atlantic canary Serinus canaria

info

This species should be added to the list of birds photographed on Fuertewentura (introductory text – Canarian Houbara), because that's where it was photographed. Unfortunately, there had been difficulties with identification and I decided not to delay the work related to the development of the whole expedition and return to it at a free moment. That moment came just in the fall, when I decided to ask OTOP (www.otop.org.pl) for help in identifying the species (Mrs. Danuta, Mr Christopher thank you and best regards). I received an answer that it is a canary, whose name comes exactly from the Canary Islands. During this session also photographed the Spanish Sparrow and Ploceidae. The funny thing is that I didn’t have any problems to identify the three species of birds introduced to the islands, bud with the native one identification took a few months. But what is delayed is not lost and the Atlantic Canary entered my gallery.
