info

While photographing birds in canadian parks, when I first saw it, I thought it was our European Collared Dove, which being so common in our land it must also inhabit other continents. The difference could have been noticed after a moment of observation. Maybe, there are not many of the photographs in the gallery, but they are good enough to make your own comparison easy. Mourning Dove is definitely smaller. It weighs 100-150 grams, while European Collared Dove weighs 150-200 grams. Its wing span is 45 centimeters, it is 60 for our dove. Mourning Doves occur commonly in the Northern America.
