Observing a Splash is an incredible experience. This small bird, as it weighs less than 70 grams, swims very ably in mountain torrents, continually finding larvae of insects in them. Despite being a an ably flyer its wings are more used for swimming and as rowing paddles. As for a relatively rare animal, its population in Poland is estimated for around 1000 couples, it lets itself be photographed quite easily and without masking.

This gallery was based on a few documentary photos of the White-throated honeyeater. Alas I could not find any information about this species except for the fact that it occurs in eastern and northern Australia. During the year it migrates between those areas. Beyond doubts this is another representative of honeyeaters on  my website.

Although I managed to capture many species of hummingbirds, you can find there one description of all 22 species photographed in Costa Rica together. This time my expedition took longer and the light was better, I had therefore an opportunity to take many dynamic pictures. It is interesting that driving around Costa Rica after traveling several kilometers there were species of hummingbirds completely different from those we could observe earlier.

Well, swallows are a difficult object to photograph, not to mention the pictures of these birds in flight. So far on my site seven species of swallows have their galleries and none of them is rated as 4-star. After returning from South Africa I counted 4 new species and, interestingly, I was able to record the voice of a greater striped-swallow.
