White-eyed Parakeet
Parrots
In Iguazu sewveral times I was able to take photos of white-eyed parakeets in the forest near to the hotel we stayed in. Unfortunately, they were very skittish and it was difficult to capture them. While foraging they sat high in the treetops, and it was hard to set the camera in such a way as to take a well focused picture. They were always coming in small flocks. White-eyed parakeets are medium sized parrots. Their weight rarely exceeds 200 grams, a body length of 35 centimeters. Dostateczne |

White-faced Heron
Casuariiformes
If only our herons cooperated with photographers just like white-faced herons in Australia and New Zealand, how many beautiful images could be taken. I happened to meet white-faced herons a few times in Australia and several times in New Zealand. They are not as big as our grey heron or great egret, their weight is about a half kilo with a height of about 70 centimeters , but they can be easily seen on the seashore feeding at low tide or on the banks of rivers. White-faced Whistling Duck
Anseriformes
The fifth species of whistling-ducks goes to my gallery, what is more, with pretty good pictures. This time I focused on every contact with these birds to create an interesting gallery. When I was in Thailand I heard that the lesser whistling-duck was so common and there would have been many opportunities to take good pictures. As it turned out later I saw them only once and these were the birds flying over our heads. Bardzo dobre |

White-fronted Plover
Charadriiformes
During the stay in South Africa I managed to photograph three species of plovers: the white-fronted plover, the Kittlitz's plover and the three-banded plover. This text is common to these three species. The white-fronted plover was photographed by the sea, or rather by the Indian Ocean. Taking photos of this bird was like shooting pictures of a common ringed plover on the Baltic Sea. Moving slowly it was possible to gradually reduce the distance from the bird. There were only a few small plovers, several sanderlings and a small flock of terns on the long and wide beach. Bardzo dobre |
White-fronted Tern
Charadriiformes
The white-fronted Tern is another species endemic to New Zealand. it measures up to 40 centimetres and weighs up to 160 centimetres. Unfortunately, when I was trying to approach them early in the morning, they preferred to keep their distance from me and I couldn’t take photos that would present them in zoom, as they were too far away. On the beach, there were also oystercatchers and gulls feeding on the sand. The beach where I was taking the photos was wide and beautiful. Dobre |
