White-winged parakeet
Parrots
All the photographs presented here were taken near the Iguazu waterfall. The parrots, in small flocks, were flying towards the branches of trees where they were feeding on fruit. They would appear for a moment and then suddenly fly away. It was difficult to capture them in focus because of numerous tree twigs, however many attempts brought expected results. I created a gallery, whose contents might not be very impressive, but not solely documentary either, which is unfortunately true in case of many other galleries from Argentina. Dobre |
White-winged Snowfinch
Passerine
White-winged Snowflinch was in Poland several times. Its natural environment are mountains from 1500 to 5000 meters. But it doesn’t nest in Tatra mountains. It’s possible to be seen around houses and ski lifts stations. Ula - the local bird lover gave us hint to check the 2nd localization. Greetings for Ula! Bardzo dobre |
White-winged Tern
Charadriiformes
Tough object to photograph for high dynamics of its movement. On one hand long telephotos enable close ups and taking a satisfying picture, not to mention the quicker AF, but on the other hand, so what, if often the photographed bird disappears in the frame. Shorter telephoto gives a chance to watch the flying tern easier, but the AF works much slower as the object is smaller and you have to frame it insistently, therefore worsen the quality. There are no ideal solutions…As you can see I managed to take few picture, enough of them to create this gallery. Dobre |
Whooper Swan
Anseriformes
Smaller than the mute swan, it has a wingspan of about 2 meters, with a body mass not exceeding 12 kilograms. The whooper swan is incomparably rarer than the mute swan. The tundra swan is very similar to the whooper swan, but differentiating between the two would be most effective if you could observe these two species next to each other. The tundra swan has a shorter neck and is the smallest among swans occurring in Poland, not to mention the fact that it’s more difficult to observe. Bardzo dobre |

Wild boar
Mammals
„A boar is wild, a boar is nasty, his tusks are sharp but a bit rusty. Whenever you hear…” Jan Brzechwa. There is some truth about this quote. In most cases a wild boar will run away when it sees us but if it attacks it can be very dangerous because of its huge weight and sharp tusks. Males’ weight can exceed 300 kilograms. As you can see in my gallery I have never had the opportunity to take high quality photos of wild boars and I hope it will change in the future, without any unexpected adventures. The time will show... Bardzo dobre |
