A few documentary pictures of the pallas’s gull initiated a gallery of this bird on my website. Unfortunately, working with a converter 2x and a extensive cropping always ends in the same way. The pallas’s gul is a rare guest in Poland. The pictures in the gallery present young birds. Pallas’s gulls belong to big gulls. Their weight can reach up to 2 kilograms and the wingspan is up to 1.7 meters.
Last minute news - 05-2024
Finally, the single-photo, documentary gallery of the Pallas's gull on my site has come to an end. I waited nearly nine years for this. This was another reason for the trip to Kazakhstan. Among the steppe in the north of the country was a shallow lake with a large island in the middle, which became a colony for Pallas's gulls. There were hundreds of them. Unfortunately, the distance we could approach was significant, so the colony photos are more informative than qualitative. However, there were many birds in the area, and capturing photos of these majestic gulls in flight and recording their calls was no problem, transforming the gallery from documentary to very good. Finally!
