I have already introduced the biggest woodpecker in Argentina (the magellanic woodpecker), now it is time for the smallest of this family of birds - the Ochre-Collared Piculet. Pictures were taken in the morning, on toco toucan photo session in the surroundings of Iguazú Falls. Because of its small size, it was very difficult to take photos of the piculet. It was always hidden behind some twigs and its filigree body was not easy to locate in plants. But following it quietly I found an opportunity to take a few pictures. Additionally it did not mind when I approached slowly with a tripod and lens. I could take several shots from a distance, which allowed to expose the bird more precisely and obtain pictures of better quality. This birdie weight is 10-12 grams, and a wingspan is 9-10 cm.
