Presented squirrels were photographed around Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. They were hungry enough to let people take pictures of them in parks. Commentary for the gray and red squirrel is the same because of treating this gallery more like a curiosity rather than a gallery I would solicit to expand. Gray squirrels are bigger than the red ones. Weight of the gray squirrels can exceed 600 grams, when red ones are 100-300 grams.

Do not return from Australia without seeing a kangaroo. Meeting them was not a problem for me when I was in the bush. Quite a few times, they happened to sit under the shadow of a tree, hiding there until the evening when it was usually cooler. It was then easy to take a few pictures. The other day, encouraged by the sound of the engine, they stood erect, looking at a car passing by.

When in April 2014 in Istanbul I met Kerem it was clear for me that it could not be our last meeting. His thorough knowledge, knowledge of the area, sense of humor - all this made us not only spend such a good time but also we could see more than twenty species of birds, without any preparation and with the shortage of equipment. Then in April our meeting was somewhat accidental, but when I heard the names of birds’ species he was talking about my eyes were opened widely in amazement.

A dozen or so hours of waiting for the Pallas’s fish eagle ended in photographing an eastern marsh harrier. The only predator which approached our bait spot. Apart from this species, only Mongolian herring gulls appeared. During an hour a few interesting photos of an eastern marsh harrier having a meal were taken.

Photos of the Eastern Spinebill were taken in the Blue Mountains in Australia. It is a small bird, it grows to a size of about 15 centimeters in body length. The beautiful, colorful bird of the family honeyeaters. My first "approach" to the Eastern Spinebill was very difficult. The brushes the bird was sitting in were so dense that only manually adjusted focus allowed me to take a satisfactory picture. The situation changed radically in the other place, located not too far.

The first pictures of the subalpine warbler were taken in Spain. Unfortunately it was September and it was not possible to photograph a male in their mating colors. But the gallery must be created as a reminder of our first meeting, and it is also a species belonging to the fauna of Poland. Now I have to  develop it and complete with photos of the birds in breeding colors.
Last minute news – 06/2018

While watching The Eastern Yellow Robin for a moment I hoped secretly that the next representative of nuthatches was captured. The specific hang with its head down, however, was a wrong hint. The Eastern Yellow Robin does not belong to the family of nuthatches but to the family Petroicidae, which includes three species. It is slightly smaller than our sparrow and can be found on the east coast of Australia.
