The eared Pygmy-tyrant is a „bird fingerling”. It is tiny and I’m happy that regardless of the fact that there was only one encounter I managed to take some interesting pictures. It let me approach it so close that I managed to take the photos presented here. I was also lucky to be able to set the focus. Numerous leaves and twigs made this task much more difficult, but although the bird would jump from one twig onto another, it behaved peacefully. Considering its size, the bird should be presented in the macro gallery.

I was incredibly surprised to encounter the eastern blue-tongued lizard, while I was leaving one of the parks in Sydney. At first, I was apprehensive at the sight of menacing and fast-moving creature. When I looked closer, however, it appeared to be of gentle disposition, despite having such a threatening gaze. More than this, the animal I met on my way turned out to crippled, as it was bereft of the right forelimb. The most conspicuous feature of the species is its blue tongue that it often exposes for a fraction of a second.

Well, I have already had opportunities to photograph birds in various places and strange circumstances, but having been protected by a security guard equipped with a kalashnikov - not so far. But everything has to happen for the first time. This situation took place in Tanzania. We came to the campsite, which this time turned out to be a small lawn located among trees at an altitude of about 2,600 meters. Well, except for grass and beautiful greenery there was no tourist infrastructure.
