The first photos of chachalaca were a failure. Luckily, later there were several occasions to photograph these birds. They always appeared in small flocks up to 10 specimens. They moved noiselessly, observing the environment from tops of trees, to approach food slowly. During these few encounters in interesting lighting many pictures were taken, of which the presented gallery is made. Chachalacas’ weight reaches up to 0,5 kilogram.

This time it was not a typical birdwatching expedition and all the photos were taken so to say accidentally, without the help of local bird guides, on the way to the northernmost place in Europe – as it is said to be Nordcapp (71010'21''N). So and the effect of this "expedition" is disappointing a bit. Only a few galleries of new species has been founded, and two of them with a documentary content. I managed to record 3 new sounds of birds. Some galleries will be enriched and only few of them will be radically rebuilt.

Last minute news -12/2018 Sri Lanka

Some photos of the Grey-headed honeyeater  I managed to take in Uluru  i.e. in central Australia. It can be found to the north of central Australia but not on its east coast. Photos were taken in February, so in the Australian summer. The heat was so great that the birds could be photographed only in the shadow of the mountain in a place where other species could be seen as well.
