I took a few pictures of the gadwall while I was photographing the northern shoveler. The gadwall was evidently interested in my person as it swam to me close enough to make me able to take my first good photos of this bird. The gadwall has a wingspan of up to one meter with a weight of approximately one kilogram.

Parrots are a rewarding object for photographer as their beauty and look cause you are never fed up with them and you are willing to come back to spend your time with them and to record the species in pictures. The farther from human societies the cockatoos gathered in the larger flocks, at least according to what I was able to observe and photograph. The flock of the cockatoos crossing the road can be seen in the places where cars occurs rarely indeed.

Although the resplendent quetzal also belongs to the family Trogonidae but has already been presented in the introductory text to the expedition to Costa Rica, so here we have a few words about other trogons. Well, as in the case of motmots it was not easy to encounter trogons. But when they were already found the same scenario took place. A trogon that quietly sat in a tree watched the surroundings, turning its head from left to right and back again. After a few minutes it flew away, but usually not too far, to the nearby branch, and the session could be continued.
