Well, unfortunately I had only one coincidental encounter with this probably most beautiful heron, which occasionally occurs also in Poland. Again, I took several documentary photos which initialize a gallery of this bird on my website. I hope they will be soon replaced by better ones.

Another winter expedition in the Bay of Puck area resulted in creating the gallery of new species, including the Purple Sandpiper. Was it really winter expedition? Although there are a few days left until the New Year comes, but the temperature was above zero all the time, what  was quite peculiar for this time of year and more typical for spring. The wind was strong, so strong that it was better not to leave alone a tripod with a telephoto lens. Walking towards the breakwater on the Hel we met a soul-mate - ornithologist with an observation telescope.

Although I managed to capture many species of hummingbirds, you can find there one description of all 22 species photographed in Costa Rica together. This time my expedition took longer and the light was better, I had therefore an opportunity to take many dynamic pictures. It is interesting that driving around Costa Rica after traveling several kilometers there were species of hummingbirds completely different from those we could observe earlier.
