History has a tendency to repeat itself. I photographed a similar bird in Australia. It was the black-shouldered kite. The kite from Argentine is similar to its Australian cousin, and I was able to capture it in a similar setting. A plumbeous kite once sat alone, and another time a couple of kites sat high in the crown of a lone tree and watched the surrounding area. They were not afraid too much and when I kept a distance of several meters birds did not fly away. Reducing this distance would be pointless.
