Apart from sparrows and western jackdaws, the rook is the bird that is most commonly found in the urban environment. Although flocks of rooks flying across the sky in autumn do not boost one’s mood, a good close-up photo gives you a lot of satisfaction. The rook, like the raven, is not as easy an object to photograph as it may seem. Although its availability is not a problem, it’s the lighting conditions that will decide about your satisfaction.

In Istanbul, Turkey, is an invasive species. Its natural habitats are found in the central Africa and in India. It is quite interesting that it often spent time seated high in trees in the places crowded by tourists. I have never decided to keep the Rose-ringed Parakeet at home, because it is inclined to damaging aviary and is rather noisy.
