Było wreszcie trochę czasu, aby poświęcić na wykonanie lepszych zdjęć naszego jerzyka i dodania nowego gatunku jerzyka białorzytnego i to nie w dokumentacyjnej jakości. Trzy godziny prób okazały się owocne w wykonaniu nowych zdjęć tych ptaków, wymagających trochę szczęścia i dużego refleksu. Dynamika ich lotu, ciągły ruch to nie lada wyzwanie w ich uwiecznieniu.

The photo shoot of the Pale-headed Rosella will always remind me of quite a funny story. We stopped the car somewhere in the bush on an empty road because we caught sight of a rosella on the tree (Hans noticed). Approaching slowly we took some pictures. To our surprise we heard the sound of a car coming. Since the morning nobody  was passing, nobody could be seen there and then a pick-up came up. Of course, as it usually happened in Australia the driver stopped the car and asked if we needed some help, since we were off the car in the middle of nowhere.

I managed to photograph several species of warblers while on a trip to Thailand. It was not easy taking into account all the difficulties in photographing them. Mainly they stayed quite far in the treetops and to make matters worse they were very busy. Often before the camera focused automatically, the bird had gone. Their small size (about 10 grams - three times lighter than a sparrow) did not make the task any easier. Birds often were hidden behind needles or leaves. Taking pictures was only one of the difficulties but the real problem was how to identify them.
