The Zapata wren is another valuable photographic "prey" from Cuba. An endemic bird that occurs in a very small area of Cuba, on wetlands, marshy areas. Unfortunately, it is threatened with extinction. In the area where it occurs, a national park has been created. Unfortunately, it is difficult to make continuous population growth because of reeds fires that take place there. I managed to record the voice of a wren, which is very characteristic and loud.

Last minute news-Bangkok-08/2019

Presentation of this species brought back some associations and memories of budgerigars. Zebra finches, that I photographed in the heart of Australia in Uluru, are gregarious birds. Hundreds of kilometers of "rust" ground, scantily covered with grass and even more rarely with small trees is a natural environment not only of Zebra finch, but also of budgies. This bird is probably most commonly found among parrots bred in Poland. Once years ago, admiring the birds I built quite a large aviary near my house.

Last minute news-03/2019 – Cuba

It seems to be the smallest of my galleries created after my visit to Australia. I could find the Zitting Cisticola only once at one place and that was it. There are several variations of the bird throughout the world and it is widely distributed from Europe, across Africa and Asia, to Australia.
