Sombre tit

While waiting at the beautiful ravine for the birds on their migration flyway, nothing happened for an hour so I decided to take the camera and go up the slope. At first glance, I thought there was nothing to do for me, except that I met 5 large sized dogs that fortunately gone away quietly. There in Turkey dogs are probably the plague and it’s better to be careful. Suddenly, in the crown of a small tree I could see feeding tit. At first I thought it was willow tit, but these ones did not occur there.

Passerine

I have an insufficiency when it comes to photographing and observing this bird, and especially listening to its singing. It has received its name probably not by chance, and I would prefer to have my own strong opinion about this issue. In its size it resembles the blackbird or the fieldfare, but it’s definitely more difficult to observe, due to a small population of this bird. In the past it was kept in cages for its beautiful voice.

Sooty Gull
Charadriiformes

Egypt-01/2022
The only seagull that has been photographed at the Red Sea during my stay in Egypt. There were a dozen or so birds in total, and only in one place called "Egyptian Maldives". Several tiny islands where diving is the biggest attraction. During the cruise to these islands and in the port itself, you could meet seagulls and I took the presented photos.

Sooty Oystercatcher
Charadriiformes

This is a species endemic to Australia. The sooty oystercatcher can weigh as much as one kilogram.  They tend to feed on the coast. The bulk of the photos shown here was taken in New Zealand in the bay and during the low tide. You could watch eastern rosellas, oystercatchers and stilts.

Sooty shearwater
Procellariiformes

There were not many opportunities to take pictures of the sooty shearwater during my see trips in the Atlantic. It is slightly smaller than Cory’s and great shearwater. Its wingspan reaches of about one meter and it weighs about 0.8 kg. While it is winter in Europe  sooty shearwaters nest in the Southern Hemisphere (New Zealand, south regions of South America), and in summer they can be found in the North Atlantic and the Pacific. We succeeded.
