Procellariiformesare among the very difficult and rarely photographed birds by me. This time the opportunity came during a cruise between Sardinia and Corsica. The Scopoli's Shearwater flew close enough to the ship several times to produce the first photos of this species. A double success! One, that it is a new, difficult, sea bird species, and two, that it is a species included in the fauna of Poland. It is a pity that Levantine shearwater, which always showed up in groups of a few to a dozen individuals, always kept at a much greater distance.

For a long time my head was occupied with the desire to have my own secretary bird's gallery. In South Africa we were already close to a nest, but it later turned out to be abandoned by a pair of secretary birds. The secretary bird is a great individualist among the birds, maybe this is the reason for such fascination, the desire to have my own gallery of the bird, like with another great individualist - the bearded vulture. Secretary birds are found only in Africa, south to the Sahara, in flat, grassy, savanna areas.

You have to keep trying on different locations, if you want to take photos of all the birds that occur in Poland. This time my choice was the common osier plantation (Sallix Viminalis) at the back of a large sewage plant in …, never mind. It is important that this time I managed to take a picture of two species. One is a sedge presented in this gallery, and the other is a warbler, which gallery is completed.
