Yellow-legged Gull
Charadriiformes
It is more commonly fund in Poland than the Slender-billed Gull, but it rarely nests in Poland. It is not as delicate and fragile as the gulls photographed in Turkey: the Slender-billed Gull and the Black-headed Gull. The weight of this bird is up to 1,5 kilograms and its wingspan is 1,5 metre. It is quite a big bird, but unfortunately it is not as commonly found as the other species of gulls mentioned above. Still, the several pictures taken initiate the gallery presenting this species. Yellow-necked Spurfowl
Galliformes
If I managed to avoid mistakes in identification, seven species of francolines were photographed in Tanzania (handsome francolin, red-necked spurfowl, crested francolin, coqui francolin, Hildebrandt's francolin, grey-breasted spurfowl and yellow-necked spurfowl - a passage common to all these galleries). We joked that a day without a francolin was a lost day. They were appearing every so often and were quite skittish. Sometimes patience paid off as the birds came out of the thicket and better photos were taken. Bardzo dobre |
