Yak
Mammals

Wild Bactrian camels and yaks are a great rarity in Mongolia, and some Mongolians even claimed that these animals no longer lived in the wild. In the pictures presented here you can see animals which are bred by Mongolian nomads. The term “bred”, however, has a completely different meaning in Mongolia than in Europe. Camels and yaks (in the mountains) move across boundless spaces. There are no enclosures, fences or nomads guarding their herds. The animals must be self-sufficient and do exactly like wild camels.

Yellow Honeyeater
Passerine

The Yellow Honeyeater is the first representative of the Meliphagidae family. In the world there are almost 200 species in the family, but this is the first that goes to my gallery. On my website there will be a dozen species of this family that I managed to photograph in Australia. Such a large number of species in this family published on my site will show you how different can be birds within the same family. The Yellow Honeyeater’s gallery is not a large one, but these few images enable its presentation.

Yellow Spotted Monitor
Reptiles

Driving through the bush Hans suddenly stopped and walked toward the tree. Frankly speaking I watched the other side of the "road" and initially I did not know what attracted his attention. I got out of the car and looked at the tree photographed by Hans. There was sitting in my opinion a giant monitor on it. To a man accustomed to our at most over a dozen centimeters long lizards, a one and a half meter long monitor weighing more than ten kilograms, equipped with claws of a few centimeters , can be astonishing and scaring.
