Rüppell's Vulture
Accipitriformes

It would be a fact that we always encountered a rueppell's griffon, a lappet-faced vulture and an African white-backed vulture together. However, the most numerous were African white-backed vultures. They were the first at the carrion and instantly started the meal. But as they had already done so, the rueppell's griffon were almost immediately appearing at the meal. They explained quite quickly and effectively to African vultures that it was their turn now. Sometimes they fed together. All this was watched by the Arabian vulture.

Rusty-naped Pitta
Passerine

I must admit that this time I was lucky. We were awaiting thrushes when suddenly a pitta appeared slowly approaching us. This tiny bird (with a weight up to 120 grams) lives at the bottom of a forest searching for food in the forest cover. It lives in Thailand, Burma, Vietnam and Malaysia. Pittas belong to skittish birds, but this one was an exception. It would not escape even when any of the photographers left their position and stepped aside.  The pitta remained still and would not get scared.
