Black Kite
Accipitriformes

As for the Kite in Poland I was not fortunate and until now my kite’s gallery has been a one-photo gallery. They are very rare and skittish in our country. But what a surprise here in Australia, I was able to photograph two species of kite and these are not single photos. Away from the city they could be seen from time to time. Sitting on a tree kites allowed me to take pictures without camouflaging and there was no need to adjust much to frame. It is a pity that all the photos were taken in a fairly intense sun.

Black Redstart
Passerine

This is one hell of a singer, found in urban areas. It often begins its heartbreaking song on a summer night, just before the dawn. So for those who have trouble sleeping and are not particularly fond of various sounds of nature this might be a problem. Nowadays the Cinderella more often occurs in urban areas than in forests. Sometimes mistaken for the redstart, it is a little smaller than the sparrow. It has a weight of less than 20 g, with a wingspan of about 25 cm.

The trip to Egypt this time was not a typical "bird" trip. But going to an exotic country without a telephoto lens is not possible in my case. All the pictures were taken without the support of a local guide, in a way while visiting this desert country. Egypt, although it is an African country, is in vain to look for views associated with Africa, with elephants, giraffes, lions, and wildebeest. They are not there. Nearly 90% of the area of this huge country is deserts.

Black stork
Ciconiiformes

It is difficult to describe my happiness with the fact that I have managed to take so many such photos of the black stork. It is a rare and very secretive, migrating bird. It has a wingspan of about 2 meters, and a body length of approximately 1 meter, with a weight of around 3 kg. Although in its shape and size it very much resembles the white stork, it is completely different when it comes to choosing nesting and feeding sites. Its nest is often located in hard-to-reach places, hidden from our sight.

Black Swan
Anseriformes

The Black Swan is a bit smaller than our mute swan, its weight does not exceed 7 kilograms, with a wingspan up to 2 meters. It is a bird endemic to Australia, introduced in 1860 on the grounds of New Zealand. To my luck, because even though I've seen them several times in Australia, the pictures taken there were not satisfying. More interesting ones were taken in Auckland, New Zealand in the vicinity of the speedway stadium.

Black tern
Charadriiformes

I took the first documentary photos of the black tern in Bulgaria. These days (09/2018) I have taken a few photos of similar quality in Mikoszewo, while waiting for a bar-tailed godwit. Unfortunately, the birds flew over our heads several times and left, there was no more chance to take photos.
